Currently, Scania is undergoing a transformative journey, evolving from a manufacturer of trucks and engines to supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions. Within this context, the Group Compliance function plays a critical role in reducing compliance risks by providing knowledge and advice in terms of policies, guidelines or trainings and by setting up respective structures and processes within the area of competition law, anti-corruption, anti-money laundering (AML), and human rights.

This position offers a dynamic, global, and multicultural work environment where you will collaborate across functions to support Scania’s transformation.

Key Responsibilities

As the Group Compliance Officer, you will play an instrumental role in shaping Scania’s compliance strategies and addressing key risks and challenges from both a strategic and operational perspective. Collaborating closely with Group Legal & Compliance and stakeholders across Scania’s global organization, you will contribute to the company’s ongoing transformation and sustainability goals.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Enhancing and continuously improving the Compliance Management System.
  • Identifying, managing, and mitigating risks related to anti-corruption, AML, competition law, and human rights.
  • Promoting a culture of compliance and integrity throughout the organization.
  • Advising and effectively communicating on compliance matters across all levels of the organization.
  • Conducting risk assessments, addressing compliance challenges, and delivering tailored training programs.
  • Overseeing third-party due diligence processes.

Integrating compliance considerations into business processes and strategic decision-making.You will work closely together with the management functions of Scania CV AB. You will also manage multiple transactions simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and adherence to deadlines and coordinate cross-functional teams with various functions. You will work in an international, multicultural and cross functional environment so it is important that you have an open mind for different cultural and economic environments. Your flexibility and cultural sensitivity will be crucial in navigating diverse organizational contexts.

Your Profile
To succeed in this role, we believe you possess the following qualifications and attributes:

  • A law degree or equivalent academic background.
  • 5–10 years of solid experience in compliance roles within a large multinational corporation or law firm.
  • Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to align compliance strategies with business objectives and assess their commercial impact.
  • A proactive, resilient, and collaborative mindset, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
  • Adaptability to change and an interest in technological advancements in compliance practices.
  • demonstrated track record of managing and executing complex projects in the compliance area
  • Leadership experience is highly desirable.

Professional fluency in both Swedish and English is required, and proficiency in additional languages will be considered an advantage. Please note that a background check may be conducted as part of the recruitment process.
