Avdelning: Legal

Do you want to be part of revolutionizing medical technology and making a real difference in people’s lives? Welcome to Nordberg Medical! As a Swedish biotechnology and medical devices company, we pioneer high quality medical solutions that bridge nature and science. We value curiosity, accountability and the power of diverse expertise — making our company a home for both ambition and belonging.

We are currently looking for a Legal Counsel who wants to take full responsibility for the company’s legal matters – and at the same time be a key player in our continued global expansion.

What we can offer you

At Nordberg Medical, you will join a global, inclusive team where innovation and creativity are actively encouraged, empowering you to make a meaningful impact. We work closely with researchers, healthcare professionals, and international partners to challenge standards and transform the field of bio-regeneration – delivering regenerative solutions for aesthetic medicine and beyond.  Our purpose to restore, enhance and elevate have already made an impact on the industry – and we are just getting started. By joining us at an early stage during an extensive global expansion, you will help us build and shape a successful global Legal function. We are committed to fostering your professional growth through ongoing training and development opportunities, ensuring you have the resources and the support needed for continuous learning and success.

About the role

As Legal Counsel at Nordberg Medical, you will have a pivotal role in building and enhancing our global legal function from the ground up. From establishing new legal entities to safeguarding the company’s interests, you will navigate a broad spectrum of legal matters while ensuring compliance across our global operations.

Working closely with our Operations team and reporting directly to the COO, your key responsibilities include minimizing legal risks and ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, contract review and negotiation and effectively handling litigation and dispute resolution in a timely and cost-efficient manner. The role also involves providing strategic legal advice to support business objectives, protecting and managing the company’s intellectual property and developing and implementing corporate policies. Furthermore, the position is responsible for monitoring and reporting on regulatory changes, ensuring data privacy and compliance with regulations such as GDPR as well as raising legal awareness across the organization. You will also manage and optimize external legal support and costs.

This role will be based at our centrally located HQ in Stockholm (Klarabergsviadukten 63) and we have a flexible work model. The role requires occasional travel for business as needed.

About you

You have a university law degree and at a minimum three years of relevant experience. You have a background as a legal counsel in the Life Science Industry and/or from a law firm focusing on e.g., transactions or corporate commercial issues. With proven experience in global contracts management (including drafting, reviewing and negotiating a variety of commercial agreements) and solid knowledge of relevant laws and regulations you have the ability to provide accurate and practical legal advice in a proactive, pragmatic and swift manner. You are fluent in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Additional European language skills, especially Swedish, are also valuable and considered a merit, as is previous experience from building an internal legal function in a scale-up and/or fast-paced environment.

You have an entrepreneurial mindset, meaning that you bring a resilient, can-do attitude and demonstrate persistence when facing challenges. You are detail-oriented and organized, with a keen attention to detail and a structured approach to every task. You communicate well and excel in conveying complex advice and information clearly and effectively to a wide range of audiences. Your pragmatic approach includes strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills, with the ability to work and influence across various levels of the organization.
