In Stockholm, we have a growing team of 15 professionals, including a highly skilled Financial Lines team of 7, which you will become an integral part of. We work closely with Lloyd’s in London and have strong relationships with insurance brokers throughout the region.

What We Offer You
As a Senior Underwriter with Ryan Specialty, you won’t just be filling a role—you’ll be stepping into a platform for growth, development, and impact. You will manage a substantial portfolio, primarily focused on the Nordics and Benelux. With your expertise and motivation, you will help drive our Financial Lines business to new heights by expanding into new markets and introducing innovative products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Business Development & Relationship Building: You will develop long-term relationships with insurance brokers and identify new business opportunities in professional indemnity insurance across the Nordics and Continental Europe.
• Risk Assessment & Underwriting: You will take full ownership of risk assessment and underwriting within Financial Lines, designing competitive products tailored to market demands.
• Growth & Innovation: You will collaborate with our cyber and M&A experts to develop and customize offerings for specific local markets.
• Strategic Leadership: You will take on some management responsibilities, leading initiatives that support growth into new regions and product areas.
• Travel & Networking: You will travel across the Nordics and Benelux to establish and strengthen key relationships and promote our products and services.

Who We’re Looking For
We are seeking someone with several years of experience in professional indemnity insurance, ideally with a focus on PI and Tech PI. You are driven, self-reliant, and excited about building something from the ground up. Ideal candidates will have:

• A proven track record in underwriting and risk assessment.
• Excellent relationship-building skills and the ability to develop new business opportunities.
• An entrepreneurial mindset, thriving in an environment where freedom and responsibility go hand in hand.
• Experience working in international markets, with a willingness to travel to develop business contacts.

You will collaborate closely with our teams in Stockholm and London, but we are looking for someone with a global outlook and a strong desire to drive change and innovation.
